  15.      The _t_e_l_l_d_e_s_k_t_o_p utility invokes file manager (_f_m) functions as long as
  16.      the file manager was started with the ----bbbb parameter.  (If the file manager
  17.      is not running on the desktop background, then these commands will have
  18.      no effect because there will be no file manager process to intercept
  19.      them.)  Most file manager functions require an icon to be selected before
  20.      the operation can be performed.
